Goohay! claims to be one of the most powerful Google tools EVER! This is a pretty big claim considering all of the different tools out there that use Google and the powerful ways that Google is utilized. But, for what this tool is specifically designed to do, I agree with the fact that it may just be the most powerful Google tool ever. So what DOES Goohay! do you might ask? It is basically a spy tool for Google Adwords that will enable you to keep tabs on your competitor’s ads. By spying on your competitor’s ads, you will be able to determine what they are doing to get the top Adwords positioning, and with what keywords. You will also be able to easily track if they run their ads 24/7, or do they just run them during certain times of the day. These two factors alone will give you insight into what makes a top Google Adwords ad.
So how does this tracking work? It is quite beautiful in its simplicity, really. First, you will need to perform a search for a certain keyword you would like to research. This will return the normal search results, and of course the Adwords results on the right. Next, you will take the top 2 or 3 Adwords ads, or more if you like, and enter the domain address into Goohay! along with the keyword you searched with. Now this is where a little luck, research, and imagination comes in. You can enter any number of keywords for each domain address to spy on, but the thing you do not know is WHAT keywords your competitor is using, besides the keyword you originally searched with, of course. So, now you must enter any keywords you can think of that the competitor may be using with his Google Adword to attain top positioning. Then finally, just run Goohay! and it will show you if and which keywords are actually being used. This is where Goohay! really becomes worth it’s weight in gold…
When testing the keywords chosen, make sure to test them for a day or two before removing them from the list, as often times they do not come up on the first run of Goohay! Every couple of days just test new keywords and tweak it down to the keywords that are being used for your competitor’s ads. Nowwww, you know which keywords your competitor’s are using to achieve high rankings in Adwords and most likely generating high conversions on their sales. So, the next logical step is to find a product in the same niche that you have researched, and to implement a Google Adwords Campaign using the top keywords you have discovered!
